The first cohort of volunteer parole advocates which Navy Wife, Elizabeth Finne brought into the PREPARE program contained other military spouses. Finne was introduced to fellow Navy Wife – and her soon to be co-founder – Jacqueline Ahn, by their mutual friend, and Coastguard Wife, Bethany Klein. They were also joined by Matina Roberts, whose globe-trotting experience as a State Department spouse was of a similar ilk.
All bring to the mission the calmness, flexibility, resilience and sense of service that are a product of years of moving and adapting to new surroundings and scenarios.
