In October 2022 Senator Chris Van Hollen, along with the Baltimore congressional delegation, announced that the PIVOT Program – one of PREPARE’s key reentry partners – was successful on receiving $900,000 in federal funding over three years. PREPARE is to be a sub-recipient on the grant, receiving funds towards the salaries of its team working on the reentry side, as well funding towards the rent for the office space it shares with PIVOT in Baltimore.
The announcement on Senator Van Hollen’s website included a reference to PREPARE:
This project will work in partnership with PREPARE, a parole preparation nonprofit that provides pre-release services and reentry planning as part of the parole process.
